MCF Groups
(9)
MCF has groups across Australia at almost every major Defence establishment. Like MCF, these groups are non-demoninational and are a means by which Christians can connect and encourage each other.
If there isn't a group in your area, please get in contact with the MCF Office so we can connect you with other Christians in your area and maybe start a group. You can start a group by reading the information pack and completing the application form.
MCF groups are inclusive and operate within a framework to promote the health and growth of the groups. Please read our Small Group Code of Conduct.

Small Group Resources
(17)
Small groups are a core part of the MCF ministry. We meet all over the country and even on some operations. They are a forum to meet other Christians, encourage and challenge one another, and also to bring our colleagues who are exploring Christianity in to meet other Christians and ask questions.
MCF Small Group adhere to a Code of Conduct, which helps groups remain inclusive and welcoming, with biased to a specific denomination, doctrine or profession.
For those who are starting a small group or looking for inspiration for your existing group, the follow pages contain some great material that can help your small group to flourish and strengthen your relationship with the Lord. If you can't find what you're looking, consider contacting your local chaplain, or email the MCF Office for advice or resources.

Solid Rock Ministries
(5)

Solid Rock Ministries is a non-denominational Christian Ministry aiming to encourage military wives. Small Groups meet on various Bases with the local support of at least one Chaplain and under the wider covering of Solid Rock Ministries. Solid Rock Ministries (SRM) began at the beginning of 2007 and partners with Military Christian Fellowship (a ministry to Defence since 1959). Unlike the Military Christian Fellowship, which supports military members, SRM’s focus is military wives. We do, however, welcome involvement from female military members. Military wives and their children are most welcome at the Solid Rock groups. We have a group code of conduct to ensure that women feel embraced and included. We recognise the unique stresses and hardships that are placed upon military wives, particularly the difficulties associated with moving and with husband’s deploying. As a group we hope to be an empathetic listening ear as well as an encouragement to you. Solid Rock groups look at informal studies based on the group’s needs and interests. We aim to be a source of constructive help in assisting you to live life as a military wife.
The name “Solid Rock Ministries” comes from Matthew 7:24 – 25 in the Bible: “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock; and the rain descended, the floods came and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” The storms in life will come (eg. moving and deployment) but if we base our lives on Jesus (the Rock) then He will help us through them all. We trust that you have experienced a little bit of God’s unfailing love for you as you have visited us today.

Blessings to you,
Janet Mumford
