Solid Rock Ministries Leaders Conference Report
From March 20th to 22rd some of the leaders from Solid Rock groups converge on Brisbane for our first Leaders Conference! We had a wonderful weekend of teaching, encouragement and fellowship around lots of cups of tea and coffee.
We looked through the Bible to see what it had to say about Light and Darkness, finishing with the reminder that we are called to be lights in the darkness. We received some wonderful instruction on how to lead a small group and the different personalities and dynamics that can occur in a group. We looked at ways the enemy can intimidate us and ways that we can encourage ourselves in the Lord. We enjoyed hearing one another’s testimonies and were especially encouraged to hear and see how God had worked all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.
On Sunday we celebrated with a Chapel service which included other Christians from Enoggera Barracks. The church service was held in All Saints Chapel on the base at Enoggera and the focus again was on being God’s light. Afterwards we enjoyed a family picnic by the Base pool.
Prayer, chatting, God’s word, Christian love...we couldn’t have had a better weekend!
