MCF exists to promote Christian faith in the Australian Defence Force. It does this primarily through supporting Christians who work in and around the ADF, helping the vital ministry of ADF Chaplains, and reaching out to those that want to know more about Christ and the meaning of Christianity.
On behalf of the MCF Council I welcome you to our website and trust that it enables you to learn about MCF, download MCF resources, assist you run an MCF group in your area, keep updated with the latest news from MCF, be inspired, and get in touch with the MCF office, Council, or an MCF Representative/Small Group in your area. If you have any news or contributions that are in line with the MCF mission then just email the MCF Office. These contributions may be considered for our MCF signature magazine, Crossfire.
Additionally, the web site provides links to other Australian and International Defence Christian military ministries including the Navigators, Fighting Words, Red Shield Defence Services, Everyman's, Solid Rock Ministries and the Chaplains.
MCF surveys conducted in the past five years have shown that many military Christians have questions about MCF that are not answered or unclear in our Constitution or Statement of Belief. If you have questions, email me and I will list them, and their answers here. Questions will be listed anonymously.
God bless,
James van Heel

National Day of Prayer for Defence 2012
Thank you to the National Day of Prayer for Defence Point Of Contacts (POCs) who led and facilitated prayer gatherings. Thank you to the local chaplains and MCF reps who arranged meetings to pray for Defence. The guidelines provided four groups of prayer points to get started. Some found that a weekday lunchtime or time after work suited their group better than the Saturday.
Thank you to General Hurley for endorsing this day and recommending it to all personnel through the National Day of Prayer DEFGRAM . Thank you to all who prayed for Defence.
